DISCUS - DISCUS Masamune 25th Anniversary - Kohei Kinoshita & Mikiya Sasaki vs. PSYCHO & Soma Takao - 2024.07.13
A match from Ringsoul again (and not the last one - small Spoiler)! But this time it takes place in DISCUS on the occasion of Masamunes 25th Anniversary. Sasakis tag partner is Kohei Kinoshita, one of the young Kansai wrestlers, and they face off against PSYCHO and DDT wrestler Soma Takao. I really like it, when Sasaki squares off against some more technical- and grappling-versed wrestlers, so the beginning of him against PSYCHO and to an extent Takao is really cool! The Go Pro placing this time is really shit, as we don’t see the corner of Sasaki/Kinoshita. PSYCHO and Sasaki do some cool grappling and hold transitions and I am all in for that. They trade some cool pin attempts, before tagging in their tag partners. Kinoshita hits some running moves, before getting kicked in the back by PSYCHO. Both PSYCHO and Takao attack Kinoshita, before he counters and tags out to Sasaki. He shows a Leg Sweep and they both attack Takao successively. Sasaki gits some punches to the gut, before getting knocked down by Takao. PSYCHO gets in and locks both Sasaki and Kinoshita in a double submission. Sasaki counters some attempts from PSYCHO and hits his punch combo, before Kinoshita tags in. After a pin attempt, PSYCHO and Takao attack Kinoshita. In the end, Kinoshita gets the pin victory over PSYCHO in a cool match! Also big recommendation for the rest of the show! Some good stuff on there!

??? - Mikiya Sasaki vs. Yuto Kikuchi vs. Yuki Tanaka - 2022.09.11
Okay, that’s a strange one! Here we have Mikiya Sasaki facing Yuto Kikuchi and Yuki Tanaka in a Three Way match in a small walkway in front of a restaurant. I think the restaurant is called Gorokunmichi (or something similar) and according to a Japanese blogpost I found, they hold different events like cooking competitions - and of course Pro Wrestling events. There is no ringmat, just three people brawling in the streets!Kikuchi and Sasaki brawl in the beginning and Tanaka does not do anything besides standing next to the ring bell for the first five minutes. Other than the Kamagasaki Pro match outside seen earlier in this list, this does not seem slow. Kikuchi even takes bumps to the street while they are locking up in the beginning. Very fun!Damn, the chops are sounding good in this one! After a good chunk, Tanaka finally joins the match. Sasaki takes his trousers off and almost slips. He attacks Tanaka and all three of them trade some chops. A great moment follows, as a car is driving by through the street where they are wrestling. THIS IS PRO WRESTLING!They take turns filming each other with Tanakas phone, which is aso really hilarious. Kikuchi films the bald spot on Sasakis head and Kikuchi takes some posing photos of himself in the background, while Sasaki and Tanaka fight. The story here is, who takes the first real bump of the show. Sasaki with the punch combo to both Kikuchi and Tanaka and he locks in the Spinning Toe Hold to the latter one. We get a backbreaker from Kikuchi on Sasaki and he hits a Foot Stomp after that. He attacks Sasaki further, while Tanaka chills in the background. Then we get Sasaki and Tanaka fighting. Sasaki tries to fight off the Bodyslam attempts from Tanaka and Tanaka finally hits a Piledriver. The pin is broken by Kikuchi, who tries to hit a Superkick, but is countered in a rollup pin. Kikuchi then hits the superkick and pins Sasaki for the win and Tanaka is too late to interrupt!A really fun street fight!
