MeriPro - Meriken Friday Night - Mikiya Sasaki vs. Bomber Okuno - 2022.09.30
Okuno in Ringsoul is great every time! Against Sasaki? Even better! We are in 2022 and this is probably one of the oldest Ringsoul matches I’ve watched so far. Okuno is a Pro Wrestling Shi-En regular since the beginning of his career. He is 36 years old so far, but the biggest success in capturing the Shi-En main title is still missing from his resume, despite being one of the best there in terms of match quality! Our beloved Bronco is his opponent and the styles of these two seem to mix pretty well. Sasaki with his Dory Funk influence and the more brawling style of Okuno guarantee for a great time. They trade some chops and punches before Sasaki hits a Leg Sweep and puts Okuno in the STF. Okuno is able to crawl to the ropes to free himself from the Submission. Sasaki puts him in a Sleeper Hold times and times again, but Okuno escapesand hits Sasaki with a back suplex. A powerslam follows for a two count. Sasaki goes to the middle rope and hits a Senton for a two. Sasaki fights back with his punch combo, but Okuno stops with it with his head. Lariat! The bin is broken by a rope break. Okuno attempts the splash, fails and Sasaki hits a Back Suplex. A piledriver follows! 2! Sasaki gets the Spinning Toe Hold in, Okuno counters and Sasaki goes to the top rope, where his flying move is countered by a Headbutt from Okuno. Okuno wants to show the Lariat, but Sasaki counters and rolls up Okuno for the win! Hell yeah!Pretty cool match and nice to see them both square up back in 2022! You can see more of them in a recent match in Ringsoul from the Kohei Kinoshita Produce show KOBE ALL WIN, where they squared up again for a second time in a singles match!
