MeriPro - Meriken Friday Night - CHANGO vs. Mikiya Sasaki - 2025.05.09
Another day, another Ringsoul match. Thats the fourth one, if I am not mistaken. And this time, Sasakis opponent is CHANGO, a Ultimo Dragon trainee, currently mostly working 2AW and other smaller indies. Quick shoutout to a match from this year, that featured CHANGO, Kenichiro Arai and PSYCHO facing of against Akira Jo, GENTARO and Taro Yamada in an Unicorn Rules match on the February Mutoha show! Some great stuff! This is a rather short match. They start off more technical, with some Grappling and fine reversals. CHANGO tries to bring Sasaki to the ground, but Sasaki counters attacking the leg and knee of CHANGO. After the technical part they trade some chops and Sasaki locks in the Sleeper Hold. CHANGO counters and brings Sasaki in the corner. CHANGO uses dirty tactics to rip of the turnbuckle pad and tries to send Sasaki flying face first into it. This does not go as planned and the following sequences involve them to avoid hitting the turnbuckle. We get the Punch combo and a Dragon Screw from Sasaki, before he locks in the Spinning Toe Hold. CHANGO counters and sends Sasaki head first into the turnbuckle. We get some nice pin attempts and another Dragon Screw, before Sasaki rolls up CHANGO and locks his legs in! Really enjoyed that!
