Kyobashi Pro - Kyobashi Pro Wrestling - Mikiya Sasaki vs. Shota - 2018.03.04
There are two things uncertain for me on this one: the relation of Shota & Sasaki and Kyobashi Pro in general. I’ve never heard about this promotion, but found this show when I’ve searched for Sasaki the first time on the Internet Archive. Nevertheless Sasaki and Shota currently have a strong relation. They had a number of matches this year, two times even in singles action. Shota also seconded Sasaki on the Super Japan Pro Wrestling show against Yasu Urano and it looks like Shota is co-promoting the Sasaki Produce show earlier next year! So let’s see, where their relationship is going!They start looking up and roll outside the ring. The hold is still going, when they go back to the ring. They get some punches and slaps in the corner. Sasaki goes for his punch combo. Sasaki puts some hard punches on Sasakis forehead, but is getting Atomic Droped on his back. They brawl with each other outside the ring, before the action gets inside again and Shota attacks Sasakis knee. He locks in the Figure Four Leglock, but Sasaki refuses to tap out. He reverses the hold, before Shota gets free. Sasaki gets his punch combo in and Shota falls to the ground. Shota continues to attack the leg of Sasaki before hitting multiple Axe Handles from the second rope of the turnbuckle. He tries to lock in the Figure Four again, but Sasaki counters and hits Shota with a Spinning Toe Hold. A grab to the rope breaks the hold, but Sasaki tries again, but gets rolled up by Shota for the three count! Great stuff!

There were two Shota vs. Mikiya Sasaki matches this year and this is one of them and it takes place on the Sanshiro Takagi 30th Anniversary Project MatchMake & Agent Pro Wrestling! To be fair, I love what Takagi is doing with these shows and we got so much great out of them. And one specifically was booking Mikiya Sasaki on some of these shows! He is over to the Ueno Outdoor Stage audience and it warms my heart! To start, Shota refuses the handshake. Rude! They lock up and Sasaki and do some neat reversals, with Sasaki locking in an Arm Hold at the end. Both attack the arm of their opponent. Shota tries to roll up Sasaki multiple times, but to no success. Shota locks in a Bow and Arrow but Sasaki gets free and continues to attack the arm of Shota. They trade some pins and both get up, trading chops and punches. Sasaki gets an Atomic Drop and his punch combo in, but before the last punch, Shota falls to the ground. Shota counters a Diving move attempt and they lock up again. After a sequence of Sasaki stumbling over Shota, he locks in a Sleeper Hold. Shota counters by kicking the turnbuckle, rolling over Sasaki and pinning him in the process! They have some great chemistry together!
